During this 2019 survey, 54 percent of the respondents in Singapore agreed that climate change was happening and human activity was mainly responsible for that. After the 21st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP-21 in Paris on 12 December 2015, Singapore finally ratified the Paris Agreement, a universal and legally-binding agreement on post-2020 climate on 21 September 2016 in New York together with 30 other countries.
