EV charging stations forecast EU 2030

In December 2019, the European Union decided on its Green Deal for Europe, with the aim of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. This target will make it necessary for policy makers to increase consumer incentives to buy green. One example of which is to make switching their fossil-fuel run car for an electric vehicle more feasible. In order to accommodate the greater number of electric vehicles on the road, the Road2Zero scenario posits that the EU's largest transport market, Germany, will need to have installed around 720,000 charging points by 2030, if they are to stay on-track with the Green Deal.
