The main driver of Amazon popularity among U.S. consumers was the fast and free shipping, a survey from 2020 revealed. About 67 percent of them linked their purchase habits to the Prime subscription, while nearly six in ten respondents believed the purchase process to be easy and convenient on the Amazon marketplace.
