Italy: popular coffee online marketplaces 2020 by macro-region

In this survey conducted in June 2020, Italian respondents were asked whether they purchased coffee online in the last year, and in case they did, which platform they chose to do so. Amazon was the most popular online marketplace for coffee across all five macro-regions. The North-West was the region where people shopped the most online for coffee, with 45 percent of the respondents doing so over the previous 12 months. On the other hand, 39 percent of Italians from the Center purchased coffee online. When compared to other macro-regions, residents of the Center seemed to use eBay very little, with only two percent of the respondents choosing this option. Supermarkets' websites or apps were comparatively very popular in the North-West (10 percent), while Amazon was widely used in the Islands (28 percent).
