Transportation GHG emissions in selected Latin American countries 2010-2022
In 2020, some 189.6 million metric tons of CO2 equivalents came from the transportation sector in Brazil, a year-over-year decrease for the country. Transport emissions peaked in 2014 in Brazil, when they reached 222.57 million metric tons. Mexico - below Brazil in terms of emissions - peaked in 2016, at 160.63 million metric tons.
