U.S.: Bus passenger fare revenue 1990-2021
Passenger revenue of bus service operators across the United Sates dropped by more than half between 2019 and 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. As of 2021, operators reported passenger revenues totaling just exceeding 2.3 billion U.S. dollars, compared to 5.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2019. Passenger revenues had, however, been declining since 2015, albeit at a much slower rate.
