Share of consumers who trust in selected organization types in Canada 2016-2022
During a survey of Canadians conducted in early 2022 it was found that 35 percent of respondents said they trusted the news media, this result was three percent lower than in the previous year, and substantially lower than the 50 percent trust rate Canadians shown in news media prior to 2019. Large corporations have seen the least amount of trust placed in them by Canadians throughout the entire measured period, however, the government lost the most trust in the last year, falling by 10 percent.
