Health spending in the Bahamas as share of GDP 2010-2021
In 2021, spending on health represented approximately seven percent of the Bahamas' gross domestic product (GDP), down from eight percent recorded a year earlier. At the beginning of the decade, healthcare expenditure in the country amounted to five percent of its GDP. In comparison, that year Cuba's healthcare spending corresponded to 14 percent of its GDP, the highest value reported among Latin American and Caribbean countries.
