Global trade volumes fell by 12.9 percent in April 2020 following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, global trade quickly recovered, growing by over seven percent in June that year. Since September 2020, it has had a monthly growth level between 2.9 and minus 2.0 percent.
