Age distribution of population in South Africa 2022, by gender
In South Africa, children aged up to four made up the largest age group: 4.9 percent of males and 4.8 percent of females were less than nine years old. Similarly, people between five and nine and 30 to 34 held the second largest share of the population. On the other hand, people aged 60 years and older represented a small part of the population.
