Treatment gap for mental health and substance use disorder among veterans U.S. 2021
In 2021, there was a vast treatment gap among U.S. veterans for substance use disorder and mental illness. Around 92 percent of veterans with a substance use disorder reported no treatment in the past year, and 44 percent of those with any mental illness also reported no treatment.
