Value of merchandise exports by region in Africa 2022
Northern Africa reached the highest value of merchandise exports among the regions in Africa as of 2022, with roughly 211.9 billion U.S. dollars. Southern Africa followed, with around 140 billion U.S. dollars in goods exports. By contrast, the Eastern region exported approximately 65 billion U.S. dollars in goods. As of the same period, merchandise exports in Africa amounted to some 665 billion U.S. dollars.
