People displaced due to natural disasters in Africa 2020, by country
The Horn of Africa has been largely affected by floods, landslides, and tropical cyclones. In 2020, about 600 thousand people in South Sudan were displaced due to various hazards and climate-induced disasters, the highest number recorded in this region. Somalia, Sudan, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Kenya also counted thousands of displaced people in 2020 due to natural disasters.
