A November 2023 survey found that 23 percent of Democrats would describe the United States Supreme Court as having a moderate political ideology, whereas 44 percent of Republicans would say the same. However, 42 percent of Democrats described the Supreme Court as very conservative, to which ten percent of Republicans and 17 percent of Independents agreed.
