Impact level of inflation on households in Japan 2023, by gender
The majority of Japanese households were impacted by price inflation, as revealed in a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in March 2023. Around 61 percent of male respondents stated that they needed to be more cautious of their expenses due to the recent price increases. The share among female respondents was slightly higher at 66 percent.
