Aging index in Italy 2010-2024
The aging index refers to the number of the elderly aged 65 years and over per 100 individuals younger than 14 years old in a specific population. Thus, the higher the index is, the older the population results. According to estimates for 2024, in Italy, there are two elderly people for every young individual.
