Out-of-pocket share of total healthcare spending in Italy 2008-2022
Generally, the out-of-pocket share of total healthcare spending of Italian household had a slight fluctuation over the analyzed years. The highest value was registered in 2017 when it reached a share of almost 24 percent. However, in 2020 there was a decline in its shares, which could be attributed to a large increase in overall healthcare spending in 2020. This statistic represents the out-of-pocket spending as a share of total healthcare spending in Italy from 2008 to 2022.
