Younger consumers on most important efforts of news media U.S. 2022, by age group
A report held in June 2022 among Gen Z and millennials in the United States found that older millennials were the most likely to say they thought the most important thing that the news media should try to do was be neutral, with 60 percent feeling that this was a goal to work towards compared to 53 percent of Gen Z. Meanwhile, Gen Z were less concerned that the news media act as a watchdog of powerful institutions and people.
