Cancer prevalence rate in Latin America 2022, by type
The cancer type with the highest prevalence rate in Latin America and the Caribbean in 2022 was breast cancer, with 220.5 cases per 100,000 population. This was followed by breast cancer and prostate cancer, with prevalence rates of 213.1 and 175.8 cases per 100,000 population, respectively. That year, breast and prostate cancer were also the two cancer types with the highest mortality rates in the region.
