Cancer mortality rate in Latin America & the Caribbean 2022, by gender
In 2022, the nation with the highest age-standardized mortality rate of all cancer types among women in Latin America and the Caribbean was Jamaica with 110.6 women per 100,000 population. In the case of men, the country with the highest rate was Barbados, with 124.9 cancer deaths per 100,000 men. While the cancer death rate was higher for men than women in most of the listed countries, the opposite was true in Peru and Bolivia. That year, both women and men had the highest cancer incidence rates in Uruguay compared to other selected countries in the region.
