Food insecurity in Sub-Saharan Africa 2015-2020, by level
In 2020, close to 30 percent of the Sub-Saharan Africa population experienced severe food insecurity. On the other hand, around 37 percent of the region's population experienced food insecurity at a moderate level, in the same year. According to the source, 724 million people living south of the Sahara were severely or moderately affected by food insecurity as of 2020.
