Undernourishment in Eastern African countries 2004-2022
From 2020 to 2022, Madagascar had the highest prevalence of undernourishment in Eastern Africa, at 51 percent of the total population. Somalia and Zimbabwe followed, with a share of 48.7 and 38.4, respectively. As of the same period, Seychelles was the lowest country with undernourishment in the region. In comparison, Somalia had the highest rate of undernourishment from 2004 to 2006, while Seychelles had the lowest rate.
